I am sharing this because some think it is an urban myth.
This is the fraudster who while inside prison created a copycat court's service website (locating it at the Old Bailey and using the name of the DCI who had arrested him as the website owner), then sent a convincing email to secure his release from prison. Then he was released!
I kid you not. Please remember this when you are looking at a fraud and someone says 'they wouldn't do that' 'no-one would fall for that'
They would and they do.
He handed himself in after 3 days so might have had something specific in mind rather than a full blown escape.
Let's be careful out there.
